My Dad had given me his copy of Joe Hill’s “Heart Shaped Box” to read as he thought I would like it, having previously read “NOS4R2”.

Kindle Paperwhite

Over the weekend I decided to treat myself to a Kindle Paperwhite. I did already have a Sony eReader but it had been playing up lately so I decided it was time to go for a Kindle.

Once I’ve used it for the first time I’ll post a review of what I think of it. So far I’ve just linked it to my Amazon account and downloaded a couple of books.

Exposure – Kathy Reichs

“Exposure” is the fourth book in Kathy Reichs’ Virals series, written about the adventures of Tory Brennan and her friends.

Before I went away I started reading the PopMatters book “Joss Whedon: The Complete Companion; The TV Series, The Movies, The Comic Books and More” and I have finished it since coming home.

Limitless – Alan Glynn

The final book I read whilst I was away was “Limitless” by Alan Glynn. This has recently been turned into a film, although I haven’t seen it yet I have heard it is very good so thought I would give the book a go.

Swamp Bones – Kathy Reichs

The fourth book of my holiday was a short story in the Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs, called “Swamp Bones”. This was only a short story so didn’t take me long to read but I was pleased to find Reichs had fitted in her usual level of twists and turns. Poor Tempe tries to go on a holiday to visit a colleague in Florida and ends up getting dragged into a murder case whilst she’s there.

If I Stay – Gayle Forman

The third book I read was “If I Stay” by Gayle Forman. I’d seen a few adverts for the film of this, which has not long been released in cinemas, and whilst looking for some new books to download on my eReader this popped up and I thought I’d give it a try.

Sycamore Row – John Grisham

Next up was John Grisham’s “Sycamore Row”. This is the sequel to “A Time to Kill”, which I have also read but not yet reviewed as I read it before I started doing this blog. I guess I’ll have to have a re-read so I can do a post here.

How To Be a Woman – Caitlin Moran

I recently went on holiday to Cyprus for 10 days and read quite a few books whilst I was away so there will be a few posts coming in a row now as I review them all.
